Partial God
(Sheela Paul)
My partial god my partial god I esteem thou Supreme Above all beings. Thou created the world The sun the earth and the moon Everything within and without Man and beasts, Beast-like man What else in this wretched life. Everything under your control. Rich and poor; love and hate; All balanced equally. Why this partiality? Should not thou be impartial? Showering on everyone the same measure Benefits and loss alike. Why some in green pastures And others in a heap of straw Isn?t this partiality on your part? Burdens and burdens unending for some. Joy and enjoyment abound in some Why on this earth this discrimination? Nothing happens without your knowledge Life and death; good and bad; Everything under the sun. I thought only men are biased Having their own likes and dislikes Least thought you too were one. You are the creator Shouldn?t you have created everyone equally? In status and stature. Handicapped, mentally retarded and under-privileged Miss. universe scientists and millionaires Share the world equating your generosity. One is sad and outraged, The other happy and elated Aren?t you partial my so-called impartial God?
