Dead Man's Folly

A murderer race is organized in Nasse House in told of Nassecombe.
Ariadne Olivier is the author.
She was requested to write a scenario at the level of the field in which the race will take place.
A gigantic property where is drawn up a very strange Folly.
Where Lord and Lady Stubbs live: rich old man and his colonial wife, of several years his junior.
Mrs Folliat, last living member of the family to which belonged the property.
And to which all the eminent members of the city take share.
The friend of our famous detective to the glossed moustache and ovoid cranium, only listening to her very female intuition has a presentiment that her presence is only to divert the attention of the true mobile of the murderer race: a true crime.
She then contacts her friend Hercules Poirot, and asks him to join her by the first train.
She fears, and makes him understand it by introducing him people fraying with the race, that somebody frightens Lady Stubbs.
Lady Stubbs, who seems to be a total mystery, sometimes stupid as a cow, sometimes showing a spirit more than subtle.
A murder prepares at Nasse House, and Hercules Poirot can?t manage to avoid it.
The murder will take place at the time of the race, when the girl who plays the part of the victim is found assassinated in the hut where she was waiting for the winner.
A murder of which all the people present on the site can be the author.
But the murder is not the only element marking of the day.
Following the advertisement of the visit of her cousin, she did not see since her tender childhood, Lady Stubbs disappears.
Is the murder of the young Tucker the true crime, or is this just an awkward attempt to divert Poirot of the true crime committed at Nasse house?
The detective, invited to give the price to the winner, once more will have to call upon his famous small grey cells to solve this mystery.
