Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is called upon to investigate the murder of an elderly curator of the Louvre who has been mercilessly murdered inside the Museum. the dead body is surrounded by several mysterious symbols, which are left to Langdon to sort along with french cryptologist Sophie Neveu, also the dead man's granddaughter.

As they unravel the mystery, led by clues hidden in the works of Da Vinci, they discover the dead man, to be a member of a secret society called -The Priory of Sion; which included members of the likes of Sir Isaac Newton, and Da Vinci, and holding onto a controversial historical secret.It is now upto Langdon and Neveu to unravel this mystery whilst they battle an unknown enemy who makes their path dangerous and mystical.
