Lies In War And Peace
(Viktor Farkas)

Publicidade
Lies in war and peace (Viktor Farkas) Did you always want to know, why the fashion colour of the 1930s was green, why drinking Coca Cola makes you feel free and the strong bite of young, male mouths in cornflakes reduces the quota or violence? There are many expressions, pictures or sounds, that are being used in the advertising and media world or are used offsite their regular meaning to influence our buying behaviour in one way or another. Human weaknesses and reflexes are taken advantage of and the 'wish list' in our subconscious is automatically extended by one or another item of luxury. These distractions and misguidances are not only used for influencing buying behaviour though, but also increasingly used in the news and reports with the aim to manipulate the opinion of the masses. (e.g. before elections) or to stop a potential panic based on concerning developments (economic, society or global). But are people less scared, just because they don't know about dangers? Wouldn't it be better, if people would be informed, so that everybody has a chance to take steps against the threatening end? This is, what Viktor Farkas wants to achieve with this book. To inform - about the background of advertising or not mentioned chapters in history books and magazines. He shows, that the common folk can be used for the benefit of the individual and nobody is protected, to believe things which can not be proved. Only targeted self information allows to find your own opinion and to strengthen it. Alone this is the best reason to read this book...
