ENDORFINA
(Nei silva ; Neidy Ribeiro)
ENDORFINA is a neuro-hormone produced by the body itself in the pituitary gland. His name was originated from words endo (internal) and morphine (analgesic). The difficulty in collecting this hormone in the region of its production explains much of the controversy about it. The number of studies it has been quite increased lately, but these searches are conducted in most cases in animals, many questions still remain. What is known with certainty is that endorfina has a potent analgesic action and to be released stimulates a feeling of well-being, comfort, better state of humor and joy. In the last thirty years as author Harber & Sutton, McGowan, Shyiu, Hoffmann and Heitkamp much contributed to what today is known about endorfina as: In addition to its analgesic effect, it is believed that the endorphins monitor the reaction of the body to stress, adjusting as some functions of the autonomic nervous system as the contractions of intestinal wall and determining the humor. They can also regulate the release of other hormones. Probably the ability of acupuncture in relieving the DOR is due to the stimulation of the release of endorphins. Once stimulated by needles in nerve terminals ( "points") is generated impetus to increase the release of neurotransmitters in the complex suppressor of pain, or the analgesic effect is produced in the brain. In addition, release of endorfina occurs at the site ignited. Some surveys claim that the effects of endorfina are felt even one or two hours after its release. That is what leads to the moment of tranquility and peace that athletes are following the physical activities. Other studies found increased dosages of this hormone until 72 hours after exercise of endurance as a marathon. Being a "natural analgesic" leads to a feeling of well-being and peace can inhibit the stress. Endorfina is a neurotransmitter, as well as norepinephrine, acetylcholine and dopamine, a chemical is used by neurons in the nervous system communication. ENDORFINA is a natural substance produced by the brain in response to physical activity, targeting relax and preserve us from the pain and gives great pleasure. Unlike the other drugs, is produced by the body itself and really gives pleasure, arousing a sense of euphoria, welfare and is synonymous with health. The endorphins were discovered in 1975. We found 20 different types of endorphins in the nervous system, the beta-endorfina a more efficient because it is the effect which gives more eufórico the brain. It is composed of 31 amino acids. What are the Endorfinas in our body? • They enhance memory; • izboljšujejo the state of mind (good humor); • increase the resistance; • They enhance provision physical and mental; • izboljšujejo our immune system; • Bloqueiam the lesions of the blood vessels; • Have effect antienvelhecimento because remove superóxidos; • Aliviam the pain. Today we know that the endorfina is produced in the pituitary gland and released to the blood along with other hormones such as GH (growth hormone) and ACTH (adrenocorticotropic hormone), which stimulates the production of adrenaline and cortisol. After a marathon it was observed increase in blood levels of ACTH and endorfina. This increase occurred in very similar in the two hormones, reaching its peak at the end of the race (approximately 5 times higher than in the rest) and returning to the levels of rest after 24 hours
