The Five People You Meet In Heaven
(Mitch Albom)

Publicidade
'The Five People You Meet In Heaven' by Mitch Albom is a grippingly sad tale that invites the reader into the ordinary but distinctive life of an old man that dies saving a young girl at a theme park. Mitch Albom manages to grab you from the outset, touching every part of your soul and sending you away with a new way of looking at life.

The idea is that each of us meets 5 people when we get to heaven. The 5 people are those that have had a profound impact on our lives at some point whether on purpose or by chance. Through the life story of an old man, the reader is catapolted in a more humble, self reflective world than our own.

'The Five People You Meet In Heaven' invites you on an emotional ride that explores life, love and death. For anyone that has ever lost someone close to them, this book is a must. It is a heartfelt story that begs to be read, and read again. It's a very short book. Most tend to finish it with in a few days. But in relatively few words, Mitch Albom manages to draw out the basic instinct of compassion and love in all his readers. And for that, we are better off.

This book gives us all a lesson in living. It teaches us that life isn't about the superficial things. It's not about what we can get, and how much we can accumulate. It's about ourselves, and using what we have to enjoy life and help those around us. This is book is about living. Through death, Mitch Albom teaches us that life is for living. Life is for fun. And life is for love.

I thoroughly recommend this book. It is a short but purely enjoyable read.
