Transformation, The Breakthrough
(Whitley Strieber)

Publicidade
In the book Communion Whitley Strieber introduces us to the visitors. In Transformation, The Breakthrough his adventure continues. He had almost been scared in to abandoning the family's upstate New York cabin. This is where the visitors made contact with him. Though he admits to feeling much safer back in New York City he knows that it is only an illusion that he is free of these strange beings who have abducted him. He prefers to call them visitors rather than aliens. He doesn't want to create an impression that these gray and white beings are just disconnected aliens from another planet. He feels that it is very possible that they have been associated with the human race far back in ancient history.
Strieber sites examples of unusual beings such as fairies, gnomes, little people, and so on who have been written and spoken of by the Human Race for centuries. It is his feeling that this field of study must be pursued by qualified researchers with scientific credentials who have very open minds on the subject. Lest readers think that he might be suffering from mental illness, Temporal Lobe Epilepsy, or some other condition which might cause hallucinations, he has subjected himself to numerous tests by highly qualified individuals. He dis-cusses these tests within the book. He is adamant that he doesn't wish to create false scenarios regarding the beings he has come in contact with. Though it seems obvious that he is convinced of the reality of his encounters, he still says that he is willing to concede that the visitations might be caused by something which has a scientific explanation and remains open to speculation and skepticism.
However, it would be surprising that anyone truly reading and considering this work could have much room for doubt that what he reveals is, indeed, true. He has covered so much ground with the utmost care. One of the greatest obstacles to Strieber was the deep, abiding fear he had of these beings and his encounters with them. He was so determined to overcome this intense fear that he subjected himself to walking further and further into the dark woods surrounding the family cabin in the dead of night. And he was most frightened and disturbed to learn that the visitors were now contacting his young son Andrew. These creatures seemed to be able to do virtually anything they wanted with any human being and create screen memories to cover up encounters. They were absolutely terrifying. Yet, even though they were horrific there was paradoxically something enticing and loving about them.
Intriguing also is the fact of other individuals known to the author who came into contact with these same beings without necessarily even knowing the details of the author's experiences. Strieber has received extensive correspondence since the first book Communion was published from people having similar experiences with the visitors. Something is happening in this world and this book is a witness of startling occurrences beyond what most people can imagine.
Having read, experienced, and studied many, many works that would be considered New Age, occult, spiritual, and religious for a number of years of my life beginning as a young teenager, I see places in this work where I wish I could share information with Mr. Strieber of other studies. However, he seems a very intelligent person and I am sure that by now he is coming in contact with many of the same writings and ideas. He now has a website and a very interesting discussion program online called Dream Land.
I am very appreciative of Whitley Strieber for coming forward with this information about his experiences with the visitors. It adds to our mounting knowledge about things which the general public may have had little or no information or perspective on. I feel that these type of writings and ideas are crucial to our development as a race. As more and more things come to light we might find that we are a part of an amazing adventure on this planet, in the erse, and in this dimension. I highly recommend that you read this book with a very open and inquiring mind, more than once.
