Suddenly today I can claim fame as a poet with all the success I have been receiving and
all the cards flooding into my home to congratulate me on this achievement.

However, its not until the clock strikes midnight that I can join the ranks of the
famous poets! I have often thought of what it would be like to be in the shoes of

and today my call to fame comes ...because my book has taken off in the States and is now selling to quote from the proverbial phrase ... like hot cakes .... Mind you I had a moment or two of self doubt but that was quashed when I received yet another invitation from United Press Ltd., London to write for them. I already have been published by them:

Poetry News discusses the winners: of their United Press Poetry Championship for 2006 in the UK: the winner is described as a Theatre worker and he is called: Peter Button - there is a photograph of him accepting his ¢1,000 cheque and trophy from United Press director: Dawn Quinn.

Do you know, it reminds me of my school days when I was photographed accepting the TROPHY as the best choir in our area in Northern Ireland: there we were ... perfect little darlings ... choristers ... all girls choir ... seems like yesterday. His poem is entitled:
Messages and I enjoyed the line: I hope to get ....

For us years ago .... I hope to get .... a present ... for a special occasion - in the case of Poetry News ... the beat goes on! Owen Lowery receives his £1,000 cheque ... I wonder if the Tax man knows about all of this! IF so do they pay tax on their winnings. In my case, I have to pay tax on everything! Poetic readings .... excellent stuff!
