Much Ado In The Moonlight
(Kurland; Lynn)
In the realm of paranormal romance, the past and the present are not separated by time or place. Love is eternal, merely needing a convenient conduit to reunite soul mates. Victoria McKinnon loves the past, at least when it?s portrayed on stage. With an opportunity to bring her version of Hamlet to life in an authentic setting, she quickly rallies her energies and organizational skills to drag her whole team to England. The castle is gorgeous and even haunted by ghosts from centuries past. Good thing Victoria is made of stern stuff since the ghost who considers the castle his proceeds to make her life hell. Connor MacDougal is a full highland laird and has taken his afterlife responsibilities very seriously. When he learns the American wench refuses to be frightened by his fierceness, he makes her a deal. He?ll keep the other spirits in line in return for becoming an understudy and an assistant of sorts. Victoria, used to being treated like the babysitter, doesn?t know what to make of her new helper. It?s obvious he?s frustrated but by what? What could an eight hundred year-old ghost still find irritating, other than the scores of actors trampling his ruins, Victoria?s ancestors who pop in an out to give him advice he did not ask for, and a growing attraction for a woman who may love him in her heart but can never love him with her body? As Victoria?s departure from England after opening night looms, Connor searches for a way to cheat the fates and find out if love really can transcend time. I love the dialog in this book though I found the idea of ghosts being just like the living in personality a bit tedious. 450 pages.
