I had neverread the first book The Sweet Potato Queens Book Of Love and was still enthralled from page one. Reading Ms. Browne's writing is like picking up with an old friend after not having seen them for very long. From the first time you open to the book until the last minute you put it down you will feel like these woman are not only your friends and neighbors but a little part of you as well.
God Save The Sweet Potato Queens will take you step by empowering yet hilarious step in all the most knows of life itself.You will learn the proper way to be dated, date, seek out new dates, be seeked out for dates and dress for your dating adventures.
After all is said and done you will learn the fundamentals of marriage..."if you must."
The queens also describe the proper way to Loll About like the Goddess of whatever you may be. Not to worry, gentlemen the queens will also school you in the "six words that make a woman swoon." Then, if you've all playedyour cards right, perhaps you may find a wanna-be or a wanna-be wanna-be to cook up some of the "Death-Defying Recipes."
All in all this book was a fun romp with a great cast of characters. (Although they are real people, they are indeed characters!) Not only was I entertained, touched and schooled, I was eager to continue. It was one of those great lonely books that stumbles yourway and stays an extra week on your couch! This book was and continues to be a great pick-me-up book for me and I am certain that it would be for anyone else who may pick it up.
