Are you afraid of the dark?
Etched with suspense, ?Are you afraid of the dark? is an outstanding contribution of novelist, Sidney Sheldon. The story revolves around a murder mystery of four scientists of four different places, New York, Denver, Paris and Berlin, in ostensible accidents. Two women, Diane and Kelly, widow of two of the scientists, strive together to escape from the ruthless attacks the murderer churns out.
The rationale behind the death of the scientists is a discovery, ?Prima? that can control weather. Creating hurricanes, floods, rains, fog wherever and whenever required is the main characteristic of Prima.
Four meteorological scientists, working for Kingsley International Group (KIG) (an international think tank) in different countries, succeed in discovering the weather controlling techniques by working via different facades of weather control. The company which owns Prima would be at tremendous power.
The scientists desire to handover Prima to the Government. But Tanner Kingsley, Chief Executive of KIG denies the ownership of Prima to the Government when approached. The four scientists decide to approach the head of the Senate Select Committee for Environment, Senator Pauline and table the discovery. Before the scientists could make it up to the Senator, they are killed in apparent accidents.
The two widows attempt to solve the mystery behind their husbands? death and are attacked by the murderer. After overcoming all the hurdles set on by the murderer, they reach the Senator and are horror-struck to know that the murderer is Tanner Kingsley, chief executive of KIG and his girlfriend Senator Pauline.
Caught in the plot, the two widows will have a great escape from the place.
After which, Kingsley and Senator are killed in a hurricane artificially created during their flight, by Prima, operated by Andrew Kingsley (brother of Tanner Kingsley), one of the discoverers.
