The Vineyard
(Bárbara Delinsky)
The Vineyard: the renewed pleasure of degustar Barbara Delinsky Barbara Delinsky is one of my writers headboard contemporaries - its romances are popular literature of the best quality. As reading assídua already has many years, I always come back to some of its books, of time in when, to reencontrar personage-friends. E when it leaves a new book in Brazilian edition, then, for me is a party! E, of this time, with ?the Vineyard? (Publishing company Bertrand Brazil), the party was watered to the best harvest of the vines of Asquonset, the beautiful scene that will go to receive Olívia Jones, heroine of history. Already in the first pages, the history of the vineyard of Asquonset and of its proprietor, Natalie Seebring, crosses the way of Olívia and they modify it in radical way. Olívia Jones entered without difficulties in the such gallery of personage-friends. Fruit of a sad history of father abandonment, mother and of some as many men badly chosen, it is good people without being silly; it is fragile, without falling in the weakness; e is fighting - fight to create alone a son with dislexia, without much money in the pocket - without being cynical. But, above all, Olívia is an artist. It sees the world with the eyes of the photographer and restorative that is and with the imagination of the writer who will come to be and believes that, although everything, some good surprise ahead waits it in the way. When it is contracted by Natalie to live and to work in Asquonset during the summer, being written the memories of proprietor, Olívia finds that this is the good surprise for which as much waited. It packs its life and of the son in some the few stock markets and catches the road with the certainty of that it will find, in the vineyard, a direction for its life and, in Natalie, a substitute for the mother who did not have. But the reality in Asquonset soon reveals different of the fancies of Olívia. Natalie is a woman admirable and with potential to become a great friend, but it is not a maternal figure nor for the proper children; Tess, the son of Olívia brings in the luggage the problems of auto-esteem that the dislexia bequeathed to it and costs if to adapt; e until the possible magic prince who works in the place has a life disenchanted and a still more sad history of what well of Olívia. In ?the Vineyard?, the strong personality of the place and its inhabitants, added to the peculiar sincerity of Olívia and its determination in constructing a solid future for itself and the son, make with that it is difficult to leave the book of side before arriving at the last page. Therefore it is, Delinsky Barbarian never disappoints me? E who to be wanted to know more on the author and to train the English, valley a visit to its site. Ah! There, my prominence goes for the excellent tips for writers who are in the FAQ
