(CHETAN BHAGAT)

Write your abstract

here.An anecdote describing a night spend by a
group of six people at a renowned call center, this book in
itself shows the prerequisites and the aftermath of a call
center job. The author , CHETAN BHAGAT, in his second book
has tried to represent the youth, in a more convincing
manner.
It starts from the journey of the author in a train which
infact proffered him with the story of this book. His
journey being accompanied by a beautiful lady , in a lonely
coach, distracts the readers initially from the subject of
the story. The story generates so much interest that
probably the book is a one go read novel. A short novel
finally ending mysteriously with the idea of god always in
ones heart.
The book takes you through the abyss problems of the
working agents. These people get tangled so much in their
problems that they start losing hope. Each of the six
people of the phalanx expresses deep desires to get out of
their miserable life , distracting them to drinks late
night almost leading to the loss of their lives when
suddenly a phone rings in the absence of network. The
caller introduces himself as THE GOD. To everyones surprise
GOD?s words and an interaction with him brings changes in
their own attitude leading to their destiny. The author in
his direct speech as a member of the six lucky ones has
beautifully quoted the conversation . It is also one of
those rare stories which accept the call center job as just
a pocket money assistant and not a solid career.
The book is all in one melodrama with hints of reality
blended with the mysterious call.
One of those books one would always cherish remembering and
prefer to have in his archive, this book is a must read for
the youth especially.
