Crime And Punishment
(Fyodor Dostoevsky)

Publicidade
Did the time passes through us? And what kind of crimes we had done? Do we deserve ours punishments? The answers of these questions, we can get from the unique book ?Crime and Punishment? of the great Fyodor Dostoevsky. Indisputably, this is the one of the brightest achievement of Russian?s literature from the middle of nineteen century. I?m pretty much sure, that?s many things are said and written for this novel, from its publication till now. So I don?t need more superlatives to express my feelings about the book. And I don?t need to repeat the words of thousands of book reviewers, experts in literature and many others. Rather I would let my self to introduce you the opinions of two men, they are very interesting. I found these opinions in one forum, somewhere in the endless world of Internet. I believe that the opinion of the common man is more valuable, then the opinion of the expert. That?s why I will introduce you the words of these two men. The most curios in this case are that they are contrasting one from the other. But the different direction of the arguments, somehow lead us to one complete shape to show us the endless universe of author and his novel. These two opinions cover most of my points of view, for the world of Dostoevsky and ?Crime and Punishment?. Here we go with the first one:
??.Sorry for every one, which I will offence, but everything I have read from Dostoevsky, cause me disgust, almost physical. So much sick I felt about it. The feeling is the same, like you watching a cars crash - irrational ambition to the underworld. Since then, when I saw Dostoevsky ? I go round and just in case, put my shawl over my nose and my mouth??
So, what you think for that? Maybe, it?s too much? No! No for those, which is familiar with Dostoevsky and his art, or especially with this side of his art? Of course the coin has two sides. Here it is the other one ?
??.Irrational ambition to the underworld doesn?t mean ambition to the dark. Even I think with Dostoevsky, it is more likely the opposite one ? THE LIGHT FROM BELOW?.?
That is thing which the first reader is missing in his thoughts - THE LIGHT FROM BELOW!!! It is so necessary, when you reading Dostoevsky! Just need to believe that he will lead you there, or you are doomed to feel the same like the first reader. It is not accidentally, when I use the sentence ?to believe?. The Christianity is teaching us, that salvation is coming through suffering, self-denying and real devotion to the faith. That?s why here is coming the key moment ? You don?t need to round up Dostoevsky, you must take him in your arms and he will lead you through the darkest labyrinths of the human soul, just to show you the horizons of the hope. He?ll return you to the shore of faith in the divine beginning, and will take you deep down to the real human ambition for beauty. And all of this with one very simple idea ? to answer you to anyone of this fundamental question in the beginning. But the answers are not equals. They are so variable, like the readers which are going to read this amazing book. And when they take the courage to do that, and to start the battle of Dostoevsky with the human nature, they will find out ? this is not a mistake! Because the best weapon in this struggle against human and the labyrinths of his mind is the man himself. That?s why the author bet so much on his own characters. And he so cleverly weaves them into the plot. They look so different, and in the same time so connected one with each other in common harmony of the novel. And Dostoevsky like the others greatest writers, work so much on the details of building the characters. He so smooth throws the pieces from the puzzle on the path of his creation, that until you gathering and put them together, unnoticeably you are become a part of the all this magic. And while he?s trying to lead us through the labyrinths of his mind, he throws you to the mud of lowest human passion, just to raise us again to air castles ofthe human nobility and goodness. This is Dostoevsky, and in his own novel he proves to us, that the more powerful judge is our own conscience. And when a man looks through the eyes of Razkolnikov, he will felt a very familiar and boring burden, which comes up, when we do a bad thing. And let us all to look for this one Razumichin in every one of us and our friends. The man who will follow us every where, even in hell. And what we can say for boundless love of Sonya Semionovna, which except that standing still with the bad things in her life, but in the same time take the burden of secret for another's sin. These little nuances show us the very own true, that the world of ?Crime and Punishment? is our world, it?s mine, it?s yours, it?s his world. And doesn?t matter how depressive is it, this world leads us to the salvation of our souls! Amen!
