Poetry Review

The Poetry Review Summertime edition is full of anecdotes, reviews, poems written by
great people including the UK's Poet Laureate Andrew Motion ... Last Things!

The last thing I do before going to bed is clean my teeth: for years I have a debate about whether you should /clean/ your teeth as my pals often were told to /brush/their teeth. The other last thing I do is say a prayer to God that tomorrow will not be as awful as today! And if the day has gone well, that we can swop our emotions for money!

Not all the world of people enjoy poetry: But do ... read with interest Matthew Stevens Review of Seamus Heaney's new book /District and Circle/ the reviewer believes Heaney is equal to WB Yeats! But why on earth did he chose such a title! There is no underground train in Dublin ... or to be precise ... when I was there several years ago, everyone walked or used a bus! I assume Heaney is writing about London as it has one of the oldest underground train systems in the world and probably the busiest!

Imposing your views is a plus if you are with a friendly group of people who side with your opinions!
Some people swear by JK Rowling others favour Fleur Adcock: the Woman Poet is the 7th Woman to receive: The Queens Gold Award for Poetry so its all congratulations to Fleur!

In another instance Poetry Review, covers a selection of items which makes it an interesting read! I suppose its possible to read this book on the bus, if you are lucky, but as most of the buses I travel on are packed to capacity I am lucky if I get time to read my bus ticket ... happy reading ...
