Resident Evil - The Umbrella Conspiracy

This is the first book in a series of novelizations of the the popular video game series by the same name. The story revolves around members of the alpha team of the special tactacs and rescue service or S.T.A.R.S. for short. The main characters are Chris Redfield , Jill Valentine , Barry Burton , Rebecca Chambers and to a slightly lesser extent Albert Wesker. They start out investigating some very bizare murders and come across the downed helicopterof the S.T.A.R.S. Brovo team . When they stop to investigate the scene things go from bad to worse. They get attacked and chased into a mansion that is being used for some very twisted research by a company called Umbrella. The company was experimenting with a virus that causes mutations in animals and plants.Turnes out that a side effect of the virus is that it turns people into flesh eating zombies. Thanks to an accident in the labs under the mansion the entire place is crawling with monsters and zombies.The remaining members of the Alpha team decide to investigate and see if anyone from Bravoteam made it to the mansion. The place is huge and filled with all sorts of traps and puzzles.Every puzzle brings them closer to the truth about the mansion and the reaserch being conducted there. How far does this go ? What is Umbrella's plan ? The more the team digs the stranger things get.Along the way they find out that umbrella was working on creating biological weopons including a creature called the Tyrant. This thing is massive , incredably powerful and veryfast. Though it is still not fully developed it is still extreamly dangerous. The team also comes across giant spiders , zombie dogs , blood thirsty crows , killer plantsand a huge snake.S.D Perry also wrote the other books in this series .
