The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (which is by the way the 1st out of 5 +bonus story) tells the story of Arthur Dent an ordinary human (or an ape descendet if you choose) who quickly gets into the biggest adventure he could ever imagine he will have, the story beggins with the fact that the city wants to demolish his house and build a bypass instead, while arthur tries to stop the plan his friend Ford Prefect drops by to his house to tell him that earth is going to be destroyed in 12 minutes to build an interstellar bypass. ford manages to drag ford to the nearby pub, to drink a lot of beer (if you drunk it will be easier to jump from earth to a nearby spaceship or as ford said its for "muscle relaxant"). unfortunately the space ship that came to earth was a vogon one (big ugly creatures that has been dumped by the evolution). they are being discovered and sentenced to be thrown into space. altough the chances for that are 2 to the power of 276709 to one against, they got picked up by another space ship (the heart of gold) with zaphod (the president of the universe not for long) trillian (a human who knew arthur but gone with zaphod when he visited earth) and a deeply depressed robot. they start their jorney to magrathea a mythic planet that no one heard from a long time and most of the universe creatures belive it doesn't exist.
its only the beginning of their adventure in space.
the book is really really funny will make you laugh for days,
there's a motion picture based on the book also there is a really old game but a great and funny one.
