yet another fast paced thriller from jeffrey archer,false impression creates the best impression of the author in the first few chapters itself.having the 9/11 terrorist attack as the backdrop,archer weaves an elaborate plot involving one of the most controversial and gifted artists of all time,van goh.the story starts with the murder of the heiress of one of a less known but rich and old fashioned family in england.the action then shifts to new york where anna petrescu is employed as the chief art consultant by fenston finances,a well known but shady firm headed by bryce fenston whose ultimate aim is to become the biggest art collector in the world.she leaves sotheby s after occupying the no:2 position due to a small indiscretion on her part and joins fenston finances on a temporary bias but soon, she s convinced that her employer uses unscrupulous ways to lure clients into filing for bankruptcy.when the clients of fenston finances are murdered one after the other,she decides to do something about it.but soon.she finds out that f b i and fenston finances are hot on her heels and the chase takes her to london and romania.anna has to race against time and terrorism to to save a priceless van goh painting and restore it to their rightful owners.with her own life marked by a deadly assasin ,she has to make some life saving decisions and in quick time....one more feather in the cap of jeffrey archer who with the especially moving descriptions ofthe last moments of the people trapped in the twin towers,has once again confirmed his long standing credentials as a master story teller.kudos to archer.......
