Not necessary the case of assumed fastest will make it across the finishing line first, but there is no getting away from the fact that he had a simply wonderful way of depicting animals as examples of would be lifes consequences from situations born out of greed and pride and most other human emotions that we exploit and do our best to take advantage of, especially with fellow 'weak' human beings. I wonder how good he would of been at writing stories for children - with all his animals in it?
