One thing many of us find so hard to appreciate is art. Someone once told me, Africans treat art the way they do flowers. That not many Africans will be happy if you gave them a bunch of beautiful flowers.
That probably is why female artists in Uganda believe they have not been appreciated the way they should and some have simply given up. But three female artists have chosen to hang in there and soar to greater heights whatever the circumstances. We bring you an insight in what they think about Ugandans and their appreciation for art.
It seems like women are not about to give up, and since you need to be ready to fight every battle, sunscreen agents and some hot-weather clothes may be the next thing you need to shop for.
