Genesis
(The Bible)

Publicidade
The book of Genesis is the first book of the Bible, and the first in its first session called Pentateuch. The Pentateuch is formed by the five books that Moses wrote. Genesis is the book of the beginings. It told us how our planet was formed in six days, and how, in the sixth day, God created the man and the woman in his own image. After this, we see how our first parents fall in sin, desobeying God. The next subject of the book is how the consequences of the sin increased and made our world the worse place to live. God, then, destroy the Earth by the Flood and sabe Noah and his family. Then, the history of the patriarchs is told, since Father Abraham, and his peregrination on the Promise Land, passing by Isaac and his mariage with Rebecca, the brothers Esau and Jacob, the Jacob's escape, his fighting with God, and the story of his twelve sons. The last story is about Joseph, first son of Jacob and Rachel, his life as slave and prince of Egypt and the arrived of Israel's (Jacob's) family in Goshen.
