What Is Soul?
(Melanie Engels)

Publicidade
Most people would not argue the fact that man has a soul; but how this soul can be reasonably understood and a certain uniform concept established is a touchy issue. Following I present my idea.
It has been agreed upon in general that the spiritual soul lives on after the physical body dies. The things seen are temporary, but the things unseen are everlasting.
It is my conviction that the soul?s abode is in a star in the heavens that stores all our memory since its creation ? and that?s a long, long time. A medium, call it spirit, joins the astral body with the physical earthly body. This is hinted in this verse at 1Corinthians 15:44, ?It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.? Between the two extremities there exists an invisible astral cord along which vital currents flow. At the time of physical death on earth the spirit spirals in and the star closes. It is then referred to as a black hole. When a supernova occurs in the heavens the soul is restored in a new human creation on earth when God deems it right. Where would the soul of a newborn baby otherwise come from? A hint to that effect is given at Psalm 147:4, ?He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.? Every human has his own star in the heavens that?s why he knows all their names, and humanity keeps a tally on the human population on earth so the numbers equal in heaven as on earth.
Stars as a whole have their own mythology. They were thought to be the souls of the dead, or gods and goddesses, and metaphorically speaking I would agree with that.
There are many people who cannot grasp the concept of reincarnation, the after life, or resurrection. Painters in the past have depicted the resurrection of the dead clawing their way out of the grave. Just imagine what an old body would look like if it came back from the grave, literally speaking, or even a young one, after it has been in the grave for some time. The Bible speaks with dignity of the grave, a resting place for the deceased person?s physical body as a show of respect.
The star in part supplies the physical body with energy, the kind of energy that can neither be created nor destroyed, the other part comes from food for energy to do the physical labour; hence, a continuous cycle keeps it alive by connecting, cutting, and reconnecting the soul in a human creation. The physical body returns to dust, there is no doubt about that, and the spiritual cord spirals back into its abode, or star in the heavens when the cord has been cut. We read to that effect the words at Ecclesiastes 12:6-7, ?Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken at the cistern. Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was, and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.?
When the super computer of the universe (call it God) has computed all data on a deceased person and has determined when, in what environment based on cause and effect, with what specific traits and in whom the new life, or soul, shall continue its journey life is restored. This justifies the saying: God is just.
