The beginning of the world/creation/time/man and their fall into sin is shown in this book. YaWeH (God) shows His devotion to his chosen people the Jews. Many readers will be familiar with the stories presented here. The garden of Eden, the creation of man, Eve giving into temptation and eating the fruit, the fall of man and eviction from the garden, the story of Joseph being sold into slavery and sent to Egypt, the story of Moses leading the Jews out of Egypt and their wandering in the desert for forty years. All of this and more can be found in this foundational book of the Bible which starts the story of the Pentateuch (meaning the first five books of the Jewish scriptures). This book stresses the goodness of God?s creation and their constant neglect of that goodness.
