The Second World War has caused deep political changes but also fundamental both spiritual and psychical deformations of people who lived in the times of Hitler.A new way of human thinking has risen in the same dimension as moral and ethical values. Literature in a very realistic view showed events that were taking place in the country influenced by the captivity. A great number of poets and writers discussed problems concerning German cruelty and bestial behavior. They showed the face of new reality in a very unique way, a reality in which terror was beyond love and viciousness was beyond the respect for others. It gives us the readers a shocking picture of the world full off manslaughter and the cruelty of fascizm. a novel which introduces the reader into the evnt of those days is called Medaliony by Zofia Na?kowska. the writer is not indulged in the human psychic, in her stories she is not affected by the people's fate. Her simple and ordinary words illustrate the whole truth about the war. Na?kowska claims that a man after having crossed some borderline is not able to differ goodness from evil, he becomes a dull person. He is not affected by the others' misery , he only takes care for himself and thinks about his survival , and how to get through that torment.He was not surprised by the death of the others ( Professor Spanner). People in the concentration camps did not defend and rebel themselves, they gave up their fate. Children, those small and innocent creatures had to get used to this situation. their life , even their free time was full of rape and violence ( game in which the Jews were burnt ). However, the most horrible thing is the fact that in a concentration camp people were treated worse than animals or objects. The peolpe derived advantage one another: they had to work till the last breath, and then they were burnt in a crematorium. And after their death they used their hair in the production of sheets, they uprooted gold teeth, and from fat they made a soap, and the skin was to bind books etc.
