To Kill A Mocking Bird

This book is telling the story of kids who are having trouble growing up in times were there were still rasism tords blacks. Scout wich is basicly the main charator, her father is a loyer and he is not very populare in there town right now because he is defending a black man and every one in his town does not understand why. Scout and her brother soon discover why the black man named tom, needs her father so bad. She is a very smart girl and she is a very big fighter, and she goes to school one day and she heres some of the kids making fun of her dad form defending a black man. This makes Scout very upset and then she jumps on the little boy for saying such things about her father she makes the little boy tell her why he was saying such bad things and the little boy said that he got it from his dad. The teacher came running out and picked scout off of the little boy and she could see that scout was to upset to be at school and that she should call her father to come pick her up. Her dad understands and comes to get her right away he then in a very nice and calm voice tells her that its ok what people say and that he knows what is bieng said about him and it does not bother him because he is standing up for what he thinks is right. Scout understands why he father is not upset be she does not understand what the big deal is about defending a black man. She soon asks her father what Tom did that he has to have him defenend him and her father tells her that he is in trouble because some one said that they saw him trying to rape a wite woman. Scout still does not understand what all of this means, but she leaves it at that and walks aways and decides that she will figure it out later. She soon finds out a few days later at school what rape means and then understands whats so bad but she does not think that tom did such a thing and he really dinit but because its a black mans word against a wite woman, he has not chance of bieng able to go fee unpunished.
