The Memorial workmanship of the Convent presents two histories parallel bars: João V retraces the history of Portugal through the construction of the Convent of Mafra for D.; e parallel counts to the history of love between Baltazar seven-moons and Blimunda involved seven-suns in the construction of the Passarola - machine to fly - idealized and projected for the Pe. Bartolomeu Dias. First history, ironic and critical, discloses episodes of Portuguese history in the time of the construction of the Convent of Mafra, a huge monument constructed for king D.
