Ladylike
(Ingrid Noll)
Although not as brillant as her previous books her latest one has its own charm. The rarly perspektive of an 73 years old lady with clear brain and wits is shown in a very distinctive way. Her not so sophisticated friend has other good characteristics, e.g. being a good cook, although she tends to be impulsive and not to manage everything according to a receipe. She loves to dug in earth and is a committed gardener. Her garden has to be a fest for one's eyes. Her profound knowledge in botanics are very useful. The only reason for a relativly good end is that old women are the unseen part of our society and no one will think that are capable of doint anything. But these two women have emotions and lusts and will meet them in the only possible but often not legal way. The very dramatic end is not invitable, as the book will loose a bit of its credibility.
