Davinci code is a typical example pf contrdictary writting. It's Rushdie before who stills carries a "Fatwa" on him. People are not so much matured to accept contradictions specifically on prove histories of sentimental values. Thhe has been discussed in all sorts of media thru the nook and corners of the world. The irony is the contrdictions and critisisem has made the book and film popular. People are induced to know what is in the book and the film.
Dan vinci code's author has come out with some proofs which prove that Jesus is married. This is a contradictory fact to the long thought version of "The Holy Bible".If this is proved true the whole bible is to be re-written.This has hurt the sentiments of the people of the "Most followed religion".Particularly in a secular state like India this issue has taken such a dangerous course such that this has been politicised for political mileage. Politicians who are not even ediucated ane know least about the book come out to condem the same for purely political milage. The Christian minority is being induced to go agains this which is clearely adding "fuel to the fire".
It is an independent world where healthy critisism or presentation of the individual views without hurting others is welcome. The protest against the film and book is not from the quaters where Chirstians are in majority. The writer himself , the producer, the actor, are themselves christians are bothered to do their job on this book and film. Why do people in the countries where christians are minority object for this. India countries like India atleast this issue has been drastically ballooned for political mileage.
