Star Wars, Commercial Success, The Planets Part 5
(Alan Saldaña)

Publicidade
Commercial Success. Its success has been great enough as to allow Lucas to create his own production company (Lucasfilm) and a series or related companies (LucasArts, Industrial Light & Magic, etc.) The first movies were the ones that made an intensive use of merchandising as a benefits resource, spreading out quickly outside the film industry. Just with the first film released, there were tshirts, posters, cups, comics, books, etc.. based on the characters of the movie, and are still being produced, despite the stop of over 20 years between "The Return of the Jedi" and "The Phantom Menace". When Ronald Reagan presented his Strategic Defence Initiative (that included the launching of satellites able to destroy misil during flight) the press called it "Star Wars", because of the ambition of the project, that never got to be realized, tough nowadays an antimisils shield project has been released, similar to the former one but less ambitious.
Planets in Star Wars. This series of movies, comics magazines, cartoons, etc. charactarices for its spatial styled atmosphere, full of unknown tecnologies for the society. These technologies allows to travel from one world to another in only a few days, making a very exotic mixture of species and culture, that characterises Star Wars. Here we mention some of this worlds: Adega, Alderaan, Baroonda, Bespin, Coruscant, Calamari, Yavin Yavin, Sarapin, Perasus, etc.
