Guru Nanak describes a pattern of Democracy in his holy prescriptions.
Panch Parwan panch pradhan: We accept the pattern of our representatives, we elect them and they elect their leader,
Panche paveh dargeh Mann: When we visit to them, we get honour and regard,
Panche Soheh dar rajan: And our representative receives regard in the congregation of a King,
Pancha ka gur ek dhian: Our representative has only concentration of this technique,
Je ko kahai karai vichar: If anyone approaches to them, they discuss that matter,
Karte kai karnai nahi sumar: As a person who approaches to them, and their representative and system works in one image,
Dhaul Dharm daya ka Poot: Mercy is the roots of a religion, if public follow this system they command their religion to care for Mercy. If Mercy is missing in human?s service there is no religion that operates human system,
Santokh Thap rakhia jin Soot: patience operates as a line that balances it,
Je ko bujhai hovai sachiar: If anybody recognizes this system he follows the path of truth,
Dhavlai upar keta Bhar: There is no burden on living existence,
Dharti hor parai hor hor: The earth is divided into portions,
Tis te bhar talai kavan jor: A person who is powerful controlling to it,
Jia jat ranga ke nav: People are recognised on their colour and caste,
Sabhna likhia vuri kala, nobody tried to change this pattern, everyone followed a system of caste and colour,
Eho lekha likh janai koi: Nobody understands about this burden that it is a matter of discrimination,
Lekha likhia keta hoi: If anybody raised this issue, People are asking him, who are you? How did you dare that to speak on this issue?
Keta tann so?ah-lio roop: If anybody dares to speak on this issue of discrimination, people treated him with force and he lose everything and converts in my roop (shape) as a Faqir or Saint,
Keti Datt janai kaun Koot: A person who treats with force he never identifies that he is doing wrong,
Kita pasao eko ka-vao: We cannot blame that only one is responsible for this insult, if a person made this mistake, why did others followed it?
Tis te hoai lakh dariao: Caste and colour is a base of insult when nobody stops this process millions are drowning in this river of discrimination,
Kudrat kawan kaha vichar: Is also nature advised you to do that?
Varia na java ek var: Can you not identify your success that Caste and Colour is a barrier in human development?
Jo tuth Bhavai sai bhali kaar: But it is totally depends upon you, If you like or dislike it, at the end of this your decision is everything,Too satha salamat nirankar: God has no damaged with your backwardness he always exists but human existence only has this barrier that?s why he is facing burden.
