Jazz Guitar---how To Play--(secrettts!!)
(Sherman, George)
Firstlt, Jazz guitar is hard for beginners to play, start out with punk rock songs or lame folk songs. But finally, turn up the mid settings all the way on the amp for a classic jazz tone. Put up the bass at least a little higher than the treble setting. the tone should be clean and warm or fat. Use bar chords here: make a triangle on the D,G,andB strings, by positioning you ring finger, middle, and pinky on the D,G,and B, underneat the fret that you barred with your index finger. Put your middle finger on the G string, one fret beneath, and ring and pinky on the D and B, respectively, 2 frets beneath the barred fret. There, move that position all around the neck, use a dirty distortion sometimes and intersparse crappy 2 note solos!
