To Kill A Mockingbird
(HARPER LEE)

Publicidade
This is about a blck man named TOM ROBINSON who has been accused of raping a white girl and he is defended by a white man named ATTICUS FUNCH.
They both live in a racially prejudice community and being the person he is,Atticus could not sit back and allow a man to be destroyed simply because he's black.
The very conscience that makes him so admirable ultimately causes his falling out with the people of maycomb because he was unable to abide the town's comfortable ingrained racial prejudice by agreeing to defend Tom. This is because being the person he was,his morality, sense of justice an dhumanity would not allow him to sit back.
He retains his qualities in equal measure without altering them through out the novel, making him the novel's moral guide and voice of conscience. One that questions maycomb's humanity and sense of morality.
To kill a mickingbird is a sin because this bird does no harm.
yet in our lives we often find ourselves killing mockingbirds simply because we feel we cannot co-exist with them.
Prejudice kills humanity and this novel interrigates our souls and qustions our humanity, leaving our hearts pondering.
