To Kill A Mockingbird
(HARPER LEE)

Publicidade
This is about a racial community which failed humanity.
A black man is accused of rape by a white girl, but he is not gulity.
He is defended by a white amn who is the novel's moral voice and believes in human equality.
The very conscience that nakes him so admirable ultimately causes his falling out with the people of maycomb because he was unable to abide the town's comfortable ingrained racial prejudice by aggreeing to defend Tom Robinson . This is because beeing the person he was,his morality, sense of justice and humanity would not allow him to sit back while an innocent man was destroye just because he was black.
Eventually, the jury of maycomb county court find Tom Robinson guilty ans at the same time sending a message that morality and humanity does not exist.
The novel questions our sense of empathy, courage and humanity.
It reaches deep withi our souls and inerrogates our hearts. It asks us exactly who we are,and why we do the things we do just because we have too much pride to allow us ti simply be human.
To kill a mockingbird is a sin because this bird does no harm to anyone.Yet in someway we as human humnas beings kill mockingbirds without any reason, simply because we feel the 2 cannot co-exist.
This novel questions our souls and makes us wonder whether we ought to be called children of God.
