I have only seen Nelson George a couple of times on HipHop/Rap documentaries and i didn't know he was an author till i came across this book in Sheffield library.
This fictional story is about a black gigalo in new york who is sleeping with rich white women as his ''career'' but his ultimate dream is to become an R&B singing star. But his dreams are are shattered when he gets involved with a drug deal by way of helping a friend in trouble.but his life becomes complicated when Murder, theft and deception get in the way.
Nelson George keeps your interest with this action packed tale and i found myself turning the pages faster than i could type, to see what happens next to the man they call Night (the main character).
This story takes you to another world of New York night life in the music and fashion industry with its excess
A recommended read.
