Caring for a cat is easy. First you get the cat. Normally it should be at least 6 or 8 weeks old (probably 8) before its ok to separate it from its mother. Give your cat a name; remember, its a cat. If you can afford to, give it expensive cat food like purina 1; avoid Iams because they do cruel animal testing. Hard food is probably best for their teeth, but my 2 year old ginger cat likes Wiskas wet food from the pouch the best. Pet your cat, hug it, and spend lots of time with it. If it starts to poop or Urinate, put it in its cat litter box (a shoebox filled a little more than a third the way full, with Fresh Step probably works best---cheap cat litter or changing it up with different litters can be confusing)--- dig around in the litter with its front paws when it has to go and itll get the idea eventually)--- feed a diet high in fish when theyre very young--- fish is the meat highest in omega 3 polyunsaturated essential fatty acids--the good fats that the young kitty will be missing from its mother's milk--necessary for good brain and eye development. NEVER trim your cat's whiskers---they need them to sense around dark corners, and they wont grow back. Take it to the vet to see why it keeps coughing or sneezing or wont eat---this could be life threatening to a kitten. When you sleep at night, make sure not to roll over because you could crush or smother your kitten. Adopt an older cat, because they already know to use the litter box and nobody else wants them. Cozy Kitten is NOT kitten food----its Cat food!!!! ---but still probably better than no food at all ---- when I give my cat tuna fish, I soak the tuna with water first and drain the can off repeatedly--- I suspect that the salt content of canned tuna fish makes it not so healthy for kittens--- but they like it!!!
