The Da Vinci Code's Secret To Success
(Dan Brown)

Publicidade
One must wonder why there has not been a storm of books entitled "How to Earn As Much Cash as the Da Vinci Code". The sheer mass mayhem this whirlwind of controversy has generated since its release continues to attract writers who wish to contemplate on the formula of tumultuous success. They believe that dwelving into the various pages of Brown's work will somehow enlighten them to the secret off staggering popularity. It is a simple method, however, for even at the most colorful and vivid sections of the Da Vinci code, any author can observe the lack of eloquent writing. The heart of the matter remains the same: the book has become a cultural phenomenon merely as a result of the religious claims it has made, and the plot that unravels in painfully arduous episodes over the course of the novel. This is a calamity of the highest order, for in truimphantly garnering media attention for a poorly written book, held together by a binnding composed of the conspiracies the general public loves so dearly, Brown has unwittingly encouraged the great expanse of genuine writers to indulge in writing stories with only bones and no meat....writing stories with only the trunk and none of the idyllic branches or leaves. He has proven that a novel does not have to be good in order to acquire global infamy, a cult following, and a movie expected to gross over several hundred million dollars before its vitality is snuffed out. This travesty is a very real danger to the writing community...if society continues to follow any proposals in text that Jesus is not exactly how the Bible portrayed him with the blind imbecilia of sheep flocks, an ominous future lies ahead, for that will not only sustain whole degeneration of the literary arts, but also spark uniformity in the mange genres, something that is all together intolerable. For the true authors who observe the wild worshipping while their own work is given no credence, this is a devestating blow, and potentially the coup de grace of quality over...well, money.
