?On the Banks of the River Rio-Piedra..? is the first novel in the trilogy ?On the Seventh Day?, in which also appear ?Veronika Decides to Die? and ?The Devil and Miss Prim?. All three tell the story of one week in the life of young women who suddenly find themselves facing a challenge which must be answered immediately. ?Unhappy is he who is afraid to take a risk. Probably he is not disappointed and does not suffer ? as opposed to those who dream and try to make their dreams come true.
