Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is second of the 6 books J.K Rowling has written.
In this novel the main plot is that the chamber which was closed for several years and which was evn considered unexisting has been opened again by the one who opened it several years ago. He is the dark lord; the heir of Slytherin, Lord Voldemort. During Voldemort past life as a student named Tom Marvelo Riddle he had preserved his memory in the form of a book which would enable him to rise to power by controlling the mind of its possessor. Unfortunately the book falls into the hand of Ginny Weasley, the younger sister of Ron. Later this book unexpectedly falls into the hands of Harry and thus Harry slowly discovers about Tom Marvelo Riddle. In the meantime a lot of threats and warnings are being written on the walls with blood. All through this time Harry discovers he is able to speak parsel tongue, the language of the snakes and hears queer voices from the walls. Later, Harry, along with Ron, hermione and the timid dupe proffessor Lockhart discover and enter the chamber of secrets and after a lot of unexpected turns Harry finally saves Ginny Weaslry from death with the help provided by Dumbledore's phoenix which possessed enormous healing powers and the power of carrying very heavy things. Finally after all the adventures as a school treat the school exams are cancelled and thus the book ends
