I am not saying that mr Brown has claimed this , but his story is backed by people who do. Mighty strange how people will flock to buy the book or see the movie is this because they know Jesus was real and was crucified but want to find even one mistake that he made so they can tell God in the end that Jesus sinned too so everyone has to be saved. Wishful thinking on anyones part as he led a divine life. Mary Magdalene was like an apostle there were more than 12 just 12 main ones; else where did they get the apostles to draw lots to replace Judas. Mary was there as Jesus was showing that all people are the same to the father woman too. One might get the impression from the old testament that God was for men not women, this is not true which jesus proved by having mary as one of his most devoted followers this showed that men and women should have equal access to the word.Perhaps mr Brown just needs the fame and money to feel important, but putting fiction on the cover and saying all true inbetween leaves people with the impression they were just priviledged to learn some hidden secret. If you can by the book or see the movie and remember its like Ben Hur not a real biblical reality not like the Ten Commandments based on the bible. Remember too that sometimes the bible seems to contradict itself well it has been rewritten and translated who knows how many times and I find it hard to believe that the scribes, Pharisee, and Saducces that printed it and did not fear adding a little bit they thought might make it more to what they would want it to say. kings have added to it to allow themselves more leveridge etc. So one has to read it with a pure heart and Gods guidance. Mr Brown would have been stoned in biblical times for this fabrication or heresy. the book may be entertaining and also the movie but IT IS FICTION AND HOLLYWOOD. You may find it enjoyable reading but how much of the fiction will your mind retain as fact and endanger your salvation. Remember Jesus said in the end times people will profess falseness as truth commit indecent acts family members will be agaisnt family members is that not what is going on today. Don't let Mr Browns popularity catch you Dr Seuss was popular too but his fiction did not try to insult God by calling his son a liar and not being able to keep his celibacy remember Jesus loves the church like a man loves his wife completely. if he had a wife then that is to say he did not love the church more.
