Wroclaw, 1919. Two grade-school pupils make a gruesome
discovery on a small island on the Odra river. A detective by the name of Eberhard
Mock is summoned to find cruelly mutilated male bodies, with a note addressed
to him. An eccentric murderer engages the police in a game in which lives of
more people are at stake. The police pursue him into the underworld of occult
sects and pimps offering dangerous entertainment to rich customers. Meanwhile the
persistent Mock is desperately running short of time, haunted by nightmares and
suffering from his weakness to beautiful women and alcohol. Will his whole acumen
and expertise put a stop to the spectacle of blood which he himself
unconsciously caused? The dark, suspenseful thriller by Marek Krajewski
