THE ART OF MAN MAKING - Swami Chinmayananda.

The discovery of physical dynamism and mental poise can be found in Bhagavad-Gita which shines as beacon light for all lovers of mankind and its destiny is the belief of Swami Chinmayananda. Bala Krishna Pillai who transformed into Swami Chinmayananda was an atheist in his young days. Journalist and a lawyer, in the pre independence days Bala Krishna visited Swami Sivananda to discuss about an article on medicine published in a journal. He was attracted by the poise and peaceful atmosphere of the ashram, joined the ashram and started searching for truth in the scriptures. Later on he went to Himalayas to meet Swami Tapovan Maharaj to learn from him all Indian scriptures. He felt the knowledge of the scriptures must reach the common man as the philosophical thinkers have realized the need for programmes to evolve individuals.
According to Swami Chinmayananda, The Bhagawad-Geeta not only indicates theories of the Hindu way of life but also reveals certain definite schemes by which individual can work out his own self ?improvement. He says that Geeta addresses teenagers and gives psychological treatment for their mental problems such as their nameless restlessness, impossible aspirations, unending desires, utter disillusionment, suffocating despairs and shattering confusions.
He says that in the very midst of confusing situations, how to train the mind and intellect to evaluate and judge explosive conditions, threatening challenges and suffocating situations is explained in Bhagawad Geeta.
He has discussed the ways to live spiritual beauty and bring laughter and cheer into the world of fear and competitions, conflicts and confusions in the theme of art of living. He has tried to bring home to the youth the science of Man ?Making based on Bhagawad Geeta.
