Andrew Szczypiorski in his book The Begin, tried to say same words about Jews , from II world war to the the 80'thies. The author did a revision of schemes of mind and sterotypes which appears near the reconstruction of years of II world war . Szczypiorski explained that truth of those years are very painful and hard. War caused that Jews became councious of the being strangers, but they were forced to redefine their counciousnes of who they are.
There were two posibilities : to accept destiny or to fight.
Irma Seidenman is a polonished intelectualist Jew, who didn't take after a Jew. During the war she avoided removal to ghetto becouse she told that she was not a Jew. After war she worked in ministry of education with feeling that she can rebuilt ruined Poland. Nevertheless in 1968 she was fired becouse of being Jew. She moved to Paris. She tried to to forget the times of war . She thougts that she was forced to be someone another that she really was. History of Irma Seidenman is an example of lying for survive. Her drama was that she wanted to be polish citizen but she was forced to leave the country. Very courious is a plot of Fichtelbaum family. An Adwokat Jerzy with his wife and children Joasia and Henryczek. Children was uncouncious of their jewish roots. Henryk at his free will got back to ghetto only for hopeless fight, he died with weapon in his hand. The father of Henryk wanted to die like an orthodox Jew with jarmulka on his head what could enter doors to the society of his ancestors. Fichelbaum family with honesty took their jewish destiny becouse they are aware of history of their nation and suffering their ancestors. Janna Fichtelbaum i W³adek Gruszecki survive from war but they must change their culture of their parents, they had to change their names and change religion on catholicism.In Joasia jewish culture called when she moved to Israel . W³adek after war blame himself for being Jew , he did everything to alike Polish people and hated Jews. He had many trouble with his cultural roots. Bad heroe in this story is Bronek Blutman - Jew - traitor who during occupation dave a Jews into Gestapo's hands. He died soon shoted from gun. Heroes presented by Szczypiorski are divided into 2 groups : begins and finishes. the first group : Joasia Fichtwlbaum and W³adzio Gruszecki. War was for them begin of new life . There are more heores of end group. War was for them the end of the world . Heroes of end group : Henio Fichtelbaum and Bronek Blutman. As far as ends heroes goes to that heroes war was a cause of death. Szczpiorski shows a picture of drama of Jews who during the the war could take different behaviour : to agree with destiny or to die in ghetto, to get rid of roots, to betray or to live without roots and in lie.
