Harry Potter and the Goblet of fire

The preparation of Soccer Internationals can take the young minds back to the fourth book on Harry Potter by J. K Rowling. The opening scene of this book is Quidditch International. The preparation, grandeur, enthusiasm, the money involved and the patriotic and inter relations of different countries are comparable in both the cases. The chaos created after the game sets the foundation of the story, the return of the Lord Voldemort the darkest memory of the wizard world. Complicated politics and intricate human nature are presented in this book intertwined with magic only to add fantasy.
The tri wizard championship competitions are held between the wizard schools of Hogwarts, U.K., Beaux batons, France and Durmstrang, Bulgaria. The conductors of the programme are well aware of the dangers involved and the lives lost in such competitions. But they consider it necessity to establish the supremacy of their countries. The characterization of each nation is full of satire.
The Goblet of fire lets out Harry Potter?s name as the fourth champion, stunning everybody including Harry. Harry Potter has not reached the right age to enter into the competition. In spite of the strict rules and the stringent selection procedure the enemies have succeeded in manipulation.
The behaviour of teenagers is well portrayed in this book. J.K Rowling has depicted the qualities of friendship, trust, loyalty as well as envy arousing out of desire, inferiority complex and the confusion peculiar to that age. Ron Wesley was envious of his close friend Harry, as he could not get such a chance. But after realizing the dangerous situation of Harry, he supports him. The innocence and absence of capacity for shrewd politicking of youth is depicted through Cedric Gregory. At the same the vicious politics of elders to use the young as their pawns is also shown.
In the end it is not a portrayal of a young man fighting against many skilled and experienced wizards. Harry described it as a sheer luck to escape the death. Professor Dumbledore describes it as the courage, to stand up to the enemy and not to give up to the circumstances.
The plot is of progression of maturity of Harry potter, the young orphan who considers it as a great opportunity of a lifetime to witness the world cup quiddicth. But he woud never have dreamt that he would be competing with the same Victor Krum, the international champion of quiddicth in the triwizard championship to the great danger of his life.
