HARRY POTTER AND PRISONER OF AZKABAN
The third in the series of Harry Potter, by J.K Rowling, gives a glimpse of wizard politics and the affairs of ministry which is like any other Governing body except that magic is involved in this. Harry potter lets magic happen unknowingly, as the sister of his uncle Vermon abuses his parents. Fearing the expulsion from Hogwarts School, which is his real home, he takes his trunk and leaves his uncle?s house. But he is surprised to have been picked by the ministry and given protection. It has been told that a dangerous criminal has escaped from the wizard prison and is bound to find Harry to kill him. More than the fear of an unknown criminal the presence of Dementors, guards of Azkaban Prison near him sucks away all the happiness out of Harry.
Harry gets a very good teacher to teach defence against the dark arts, who is also a friend of Harry?s Father James Potter. He learns much about his parents and struggles to free himself from the impact of dementors.
Hagrid, the innocent half giant is always in trouble due to his excessive love for monstrous creatures. The trio Harry, Hermione and Ron Wesley try their best to prevent the killing of Hippogriff, which is a very useful bird if handled properly. But the ministry of magic wants to kill the bird under the influence of Lucius Molfoy, the death eater.
In the end, after a series of adventures by the trio, Harry and his friends realize that the prisoner that escaped is not dangerous criminal but a close friend of Harry?s father and also Harry?s godfather. He is not after Harry but the culprit who was responsible for the murder of Harry?s parents in the disguise of Ron?s pet scabbers, the rat. The story ends happily with Harry mastering in eliminating dementors and finding a godfather to himself. Hippogriff and the time machine used by Hermione, are all effects added to increase grip of the story.
