Sydney University in 1938 - his illustrious career took him to Oriel College/Oxford University from 1938 to 1940 ... his subject was ... Political Philosphy and he died in 1981 at which point he was a Fellow of University College, Oxford and also a Fellow of the British Academy in 1974.
These are the dates that my career overlaps JL Mackie ... in 1974 I was at York University/Summer School and acquired a qualification in Foreign Literature ... in 1981 I was at Wincheser at College and acquired a degree and a teaching qualification later to receive accreditation as a Teacher and Lecturer in Drama and English here in the UK!
