Just after that Michael Tolland, an oceanographer and other civil scientists also saw the plankton. But by that time Rachel already endorsed the project and video of the discovery is also sent for telecast. The civil scientists probed and found that discovery is a fraud. They wanted to expose the fraud but the chase began Dr. Norah became the first victim. Rachel suspected that president is behind this fraud as it saves him from the attacks of sexton and validates the expenditure of N.A.S.A. and also improves his chances of winning the election. She was horrified when she found her boss William Pickering was behind all this. He revealed that Sexton already made plans to privatize N.A.S.A. thus causing threat to the nation. Marjorie Tench , senior adviser to the president gave information with proof about Sexton?s sex scandals and bribe taking. But the president being a very noble person refused to use the information as he was against negative personal attack. As there was no other way to diminish the popularity of Sexton they chose this path without the knowledge of the president. Sexton wanted to cash on the fraud but Gabrielle; Sexton?s personal assistant not only stopped him from revealing it but also humiliated him in the public. President Zach Herney publicly made an apology that the discovery was a mistake the rock from where it was brought was put back where it belongs.
