Resumo de Angels And Demons

Yes !!! Finally i have finished reading Angels & demons. Although i read it in bits & pieces i found it very interesting & intriguing.

The hero Robert Langdon is a world renowned Harvard symbiologist whose knowledge about a secret organisation drags him into the plot of the story. The Heroine is Vittoria Vetra (bold & beautiful) who is the scientist's daughter. Together they are on a trail to save the Vatican city from illuminati (An organisation which is planning to re - emerge in style). They are on a trail to save the four cardinal's from illuminati. Also joining them is the pope's assistant camerlango who is well potrayed in the novel.

The plot is twisty, turny , slippery & surprising. I personally liked the way dan brown tries to differentiate between religion & science. He is very good at describing the cold war betwwen the catholics and the scientists in the early 90's. Here's are a few lines from the book :

Science & religion are not at odds ,science is simply too young to understand (page no 70 :P)

Do u Believe in God?

...I did not ask if you believe what man says about God. I asked if you believed in God. There is a difference. Holy scripture is stories... legends and history of man's quest to understand his own need for meaning. I am not asking you to pass judgment on literature. I am asking if you believe in God. When you lie out under the stars, do you sense the divine? Do you feel in your gut that you are staring up at the work of God's Hand?..

..Science tells me God must exist. My mind tells me I will never understand God. And my heart tells me I am not meant to.

I also loved the way he builds up each and every character in his novel, specially the one of camerlango.

Also something which cannot be forgotten is the way Dan Brown has described the beautiful Vatican city. Each and every monument , church , statue is described in detail (My god he must have done a lot of research).

So all i can say is a big WOW. This book is a must read for neone who loves to read novels and if u still havent started , start with this one ( its a good option). Btw when is The da vinci code releasing ??? Me is looking forward to it ..
