The Da Vinci Code
(Dan Brown)

Publicidade
Only half way through the book I am completely hooked. It has been years since I have picked up a book and read it just for fun, but I could only take hearing about this book for so long before I had to read it for myself. I couldn't get a copy at the library because they were all checked out, so i decided that I should just buy a copy being that you can buy one for a meesily ten dollars at almost any book store. Still skeptical of what I would find inside I began to read it. One hundred, seventy eight pages later I am glued to the book. I simply can't get enough of it. Every chance I get at work, I read a few pages, any spare time at home, I read a few more. I am not the fastest reader, or the most skilled reader, and that's what I love so much about this book. Besides the French that appears a lot in the book, it is a easy read. With short chapters you stay on the edge of your seat the whole time. There are no moments that leave me feeling like I'm reading a book. I almost feel like I have been to Paris because of the very descriptive writting by Dan Brown in this novel. He has a keen eye for detail, and he puts you right in the story. Don't be surprised if he makes you reach for the dictionary every now and then, but don't get upset that you don't know a few of the words that he uses, instead find out what they mean and be happy that he is helping you extend your vocabulary. This book is a must read for high school students and up. I feel this strong about it and I'm only half way through, I plan on finishing it within the next two days. Upon doing so I will complete a full review on the book from beginning to end. Until then, get out and check it out for yourself. You'll thank me later, I'm sure of it.
