Joshua's Unfolding Task
In this biblical historical narrative, it is easy to see first off that the man Joshua was born out of witnessing and enduring hardships in life. The reader may never see the perils that faced this young warrior and military leader of a nation of boisterous migrants. How telling it must have been to be given the directive of, "Be strong and courageous; do not fear, for I the Lord your God am with you." Facing great decisions and even greater pressures to constantly and purely be in communion with the All-Powerful and Holy God who destroyed Egypt through the mighty wonders and still find sleep untampered with sewcures this story as one of the greatest of all time.
