The role of EMSC in injury prevention is explained through discussion of essential activities for EMS leaders/decision makers and an overview of required injury prevention knowledge areas for EMS providers.Injury prevention including types of prevention initiatives and a review of possible interventions. Developing outcome-oriented programs is explained step-by-step, including community assessment, defining injury problems, setting goals, planning and testing interventions.Finding state and community prevention partners, are also explained.
